Future Optics’ ultra-compact coarse wavelength division multiplexers (UC-CWDMs) are integrated optical modules using Future Optics’free-space optical platform. In a package less than one-fiftieth the size of conventional CWDM modules, these UC-CWDMs significantly improve optical performance, while reducing deployment and operating costs for its low IL. The UC-CWDM mux/demux is available from 4 to 18-channels, and can include an expansion port. Custom configurations are available upon request.

Future Optics' 4CH Ultra-Compact Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexer (4CH UC-CWDM)  Mux Demux device is a new version of 4 channels CWDM mux demux device with ultra compact footprint dimension of 21*12*6.5mm and extremely low insert loss of 0.8 dB .

Based on thin film filter and Free-Space technology, taking advantage of patented design of multi-layers optical structure and metal laser welding micro-optics packaging process, Future Optics provides high quality 4 channels UC-CWDM mux demux devices with wide channel bandwidth, low insertion loss, high precision center wavelength, wide operating temperature range and flexible channel configuration.

Future Optics’ miniature style housing CWDM is the smallest in its class, a new 4 CH UC-CWDM device measures 21mm long by 12 mm wide by 5.95 mm thick. This makes it ideal for closely spaced board mounting or for direct use in 0.25in ch high splice trays, where space is at a premium.
